The Best is Yet to Be...Happy Anniversary!

Today we have been married for 31 years....yes 31! Where has the time gone? Look at the faces of these two little kids who had no idea they were going to grow up and marry each other. Here's my anniversary wish which can be summed up in these words written by John Lennon...

Grow old along with me

The best is yet to be...

When our time has come
We will be as one
God bless our love
God bless our love

Grow old along with me
Two branches of one tree
Face the setting sun
When the day is done

God bless our love
God bless our love

Spending our lives together
Man and wife together
World without end
World without end

Grow old along with me
Whatever fate decrees
We will see it through
For our love is true

God bless our love
God bless our love

Happy 31st Anniversary!

I love you!

I didn't want Diane to have all the fun so I thought I would add my tribute to Diane.

Hi honey,
Why is it when I think about you I have to smile? I guess because you bring so much joy into my life. When looking back on time I wonder where the years have gone. Yet I so look forward to the future with you. 31 years ago 31 years seemed like a long time.

At 51, 31 years isn’t long enough. You bless my life in so many ways. You greet me at home almost every day. You feed me and keep me going. You look after my health as much as I let you.
You continue being my best friend who I share everything with. You are the joy of my life who make every minute worth living. We don’t know what eternity will be like, yet I know I want to be with you. Thank you for being my friend, my lover, my partner in life, the mother of my children, and the woman of my dreams. Oh how I love you. I truly do love you so much (ILYSM).

Thanks sweetie for a great 31 years and for another 31 or so together here in mortality.

As Buzz Lightyear said, “To infinity and beyond”.

Happy Anniversary sweetie
I love you beyond measure
Bob

Happy Anniversary! Oh, man, that means I will be 31 on my next birthday! Michael called me this morning to sing Happy Birthday to me. I was a little confused until he explained it was "Happy Conception Day" to me! Funny guy! Mom, your tribute with the pictures and the song was very sweet and brought me to tears. Dad, yours was nice as well. I could have done without the "lover" part (just kidding) and thought it was funny how you related your marriage to Buzz Lightyear...every girls dream! I love you and I am so glad to have you as my parents.

Happy Anniversary! Yesterday, after my primary class, I decided I was perfectly happy single and without children (actually, I decided I was not going to have children!) But, after reading this, I think it would be kinda nice to spend eternity with your best friend! You both are awesome! Have an amazing day!

I didn't know John Lennon wrote thsoe lyrics. Who knew? I don't think I've ever seen that picture of you two after the wedding with dad in his suit. I can't believe that suit...and that hair. Dad, I don't know how you ever told me I needed a haircut. Just be glad I'm not in HS now that long hair is REALLY in. That Buzz Lightyear tribute was great. Luke will really like it.

Ohhh! This is the sweetest thing ever. I love that you both got to join in on the tribute fun. And your anniversary is the same day as McKay's birthday - what a great day!

Love the flashback photos of the two of you. You're such a great couple. Happy 31 years!

What a wonderful post! It was so great to see some pictures from the time when you were still dating and when you got married. I think Robyn looks a lot like you did, when you got married. :) Happy Anniversary!!!

And by the way... that picture, next to the (I assume) prom picture, where you bot have those leather jackets... looks pretty cool! ;) So fun to see what the style was back then. I've seen some pictures of my dad too, way back when, on a motorbike, long hair flying in the wind, wearing a same looking leather jacket. And I thought... 'is that really MY dad?!' :)

So sweet! I thought that song was a Peter Breinholt original...I guess not. If I'd been more patient, I could have had Baby Avery on your anniversary! Oh well. I don't think I've seen all those pictures before...they were great. I love you both!

Happy belated anniversary. Isn't it funny how things change so in style and we look different but we still feel the same way. I am really proud of the two of you and how you have known each other all of your lives almost and are still in love as well as best friends. Love you lots!!!
