Crazy Weather

"If you don't like the weather today...just wait til tomorrow". This is what the people here in Tennessee say about their weather. It's crazy!! Last week we had 80 degree weather and this week it is in the 40's and 50's. Our realtor told me I might get anxious to plant some flowers but to wait until after tax day to do it because inevitably we will get a late freeze. I guess she's right! Tuesday night the warm air met the cold air from the north and we had a huge storm. Luckily we didn't get all the damaging winds and hail that they had in other places, but it was pretty exciting!! We had lots of thunder, lightning, and rain!! My neighbor Debie who lives across the street called me in the middle of the storm making sure we had a storm shelter in our house. We were both standing by the windows looking at the storm and saying we should probably move away from the window when a huge lightning hit with a loud thunder. We both screamed into the phone at the same time. We laughed! This storm was probably nothing to those who have lived here all their lives, but we Californians were ready to head for shelter!
