A Quote for Today

"We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time." T.S. Eliot

This is one of my favorite quotes. Those of you who have moved a time or two will understand when I say that I really believe I know the place I started a little better than when I actually lived there. I know it better because I know a difference. Maybe I even appreciate it a little more.

Moving is hard. Sometimes life is hard. Do you suppose when this life is over and we return to our heavenly home, we will arrive where we started and know the place for the first time? Will we appreciate it more because we will know the difference? I think so.

You are always so wise and have such great insight. No wonder you have worked with the YW all your life. You always have a way of seeing the positive when it seems like there is none. Thank you for being such a good example and inspiring us all. I love you!

I have always wondered what Heaven will be like. Wanna know what I think- even if ya don't I'm gonna tell you:) I think it will be full of family we haven't seen in a long time the scenery will be green beautiful mountains and fresh water streams, the smell of pine trees and rain and a newborn baby. The sound of laughter and hopefully lots of it and peace. There ya have it thats my heaven...I don't know if thats where I started but I'd like to go there now when all the kids are fighting and the baby is screaming to be held...I'm trying to enjoy it - I REALLY AM. You are full of wisdom, I love reading your blog! I wish you were closer so I could hug ya! I love you!

What a beautiful quote. I have moved a few more times than I wanted to and I really do appreciate the fact that it is hard but we do learn and grow (even though we may not want to). I treasure our friendship through the years even though time and distance has passed I still feel as close as when we spent time in the tents at Girls Camp.
Love you

I agree with the moving bit. I moved a lot as a kid so that must be why I want to plant some roots here and stay a while. I know life can throw changes, and even if it isn't physically moving away, sometimes its just moving in a different direction, moving from one calling to another, moving on from a hard experience, and living life to the fullest no matter where we are.
Transition and change are so hard, and yet so imperative. I am excited for my kind of Heaven where I will feel I totally and completely belong. I think its amazing, knowing what we do, that everything we be so familiar to us. It will hardly seem that we had been gone very long, and to know that Heavenly Father will be there with Jesus, with open arms. As well as so many others who got there before we did.
Thanks for that. You sure are awesome! Love you
